What we collect
Information you give us. Name, work email, company, and message contents when you submit the contact form, request a demo or PoC, or download a gated resource.
Analytics data.When you consent (or where consent isn’t required — see below), we record page views, referrer, and UTM campaign parameters against an anonymous, randomly-generated ID stored in a first-party cookie. We never store your raw IP address: it is hashed with a secret salt (SHA-256) before it touches our database, and the hash cannot be reversed to an IP.
Company identification. Where configured, we use your IP address at the moment of your visit to look up the owning organisation (not you personally) via IPinfo.io. This tells us, for example, that “someone at Example Corp visited /ritam” — never who. Traffic from residential and mobile ISPs is filtered out. VPNs and privacy-focused browsers routinely prevent this from resolving at all.
Why we process it
- To respond to enquiries, demo and PoC requests, and resource downloads.
- To understand which products and pages are of interest, so our sales team can prioritise and personalise outreach.
- To operate and improve the site (traffic patterns, popular content, campaign performance).
Legal basis
Where you submit a form, processing is based on your consent and on steps taken at your request. For visitors in the EU/UK/EEA, analytics cookies are only set after you opt in via the cookie banner. Outside those regions, and for B2B company identification generally, we rely on legitimate interest — understanding which organisations evaluate our product is a reasonable and proportionate business interest, and we do not identify individuals through this process.
Retention
Page-view records are automatically deleted after 12 months. Lead and enquiry records (contact form, demo/PoC requests, resource downloads) are retained for as long as needed to manage the sales relationship, or until you ask us to delete them.
Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, where applicable, the GDPR/UK GDPR, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or object to its processing. Email privacy@matrecomm.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Who we share data with
- IPinfo.io — IP-to-company lookups, where enabled.
- Alertbox — delivery of transactional email from our contact form.
- Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and file storage (R2) for downloadable resources.
- LinkedIn/Microsoft — the LinkedIn Insight Tag, used for ad retargeting and campaign measurement. It only loads after you accept the cookie banner (see our Cookie Policy), and LinkedIn processes that data under its own privacy policy, not ours.
We do not sell personal data.
