CraftWorld Access is the carrier-grade assurance and autonomy platform for the access network — FTTx/PON, fixed wireless, and business/leased-line access. It unifies the full access stack under a single control plane, correlating an ONT's optical health with its PON tree and OLT port to pinpoint the exact fault location rather than just the affected port. Operators declare the service goals they own — provisioning time, fibre MTTR, per-ONT availability, and mass-outage triage — and the Ritam AIOps engine holds them true: predicting fibre degradation before the link drops, localizing a fault to the exact network segment, and automating zero-touch provisioning on approval. The platform is multi-vendor and standards-based, and runs in production at Tier-1 scale.

The Access Stack — Layer by Layer

CraftWorld manages five access layers, each monitored to KPI level and held to a declared service SLA:

  • Business Access — leased-line & E-LINE/E-LAN circuits, CoS/QoS conformance, SLA counters
  • Service / BNG — session state, authentication success, per-subscriber QoS, zero-touch provisioning
  • FTTx / PON — per-ONT optical power & error rate, ranging, branch health, per-ONT availability held above 99.9%
  • OLT — chassis and port health, uplink status, failover and traffic re-homing
  • Fibre Plant / ODN — end-to-end optical loss, per-segment attenuation, fault localization to the exact segment

Autonomous Capabilities

Predictive fibre-cut localization — the platform learns each fibre branch's optical-loss signature; a change in signal outside the learned baseline predicts a splice or bend failing 30–60 minutes ahead, localized to the exact segment rather than just the OLT port. Field crews can be dispatched to the precise break point before mass customer impact.

Zero-touch provisioning — a new service order is turned up without a truck roll: the device is auto-discovered, validated, and provisioned end to end in under 40 minutes.

Mass-outage triage — when a feeder or splitter fails, hundreds or thousands of simultaneous device alarms are correlated to a single common parent in under 15 minutes, so the field team is sent to one fault, not a flood of individual tickets.

Cross-layer root cause — optical, PON tree, and OLT port telemetry are bound into one causal graph, pinpointing the exact failing segment in under 60 seconds.

Telemetry & Execution

Every automated action — ONT re-provisioning, ranging reset, OLT failover, fault-to-segment dispatch — is dry-run, approval-gated, audited, and reversible.
